Tabletop Game Design.
Dead Drift is a tabletop survival game where players are stranded on a damaged spaceship after a space storm. The crew has to work together to repair the ship before oxygen, food, and systems run out, but they are also competing for merit points to become the next captain. The game mixes cooperation, resource management, repair challenges, and event cards to create a tense sci-fi survival experience.

My Role
For this project, I created the overall visual direction, game concept, board layout, title design, cards, icons, story materials, and packaging mockup. I wanted the game to feel dark, urgent, and futuristic, so I used deep blues, black space textures, bright yellow warning colors, and glowing cyan details. I also worked on the game rules, player resources, repair mechanics, oxygen and food systems, and the different card types used during gameplay.

Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was making the game feel intense without making it too confusing. I had to keep adjusting the rules, card functions, supply limits, and repair mechanics so the game made sense when someone else played it. I also had to figure out how to make all the visuals feel like they belonged to the same world, from the board to the cards to the packaging.
